Winnersh Primary School is excited to welcome a warm, dedicated SEMH SRP Teacher to help shape our brand-new Specialist Resource Provision (SRP). We are opening a unit, The Nest, and this role offers the chance to build something truly special — a place where inclusivity is more than a principle; it’s a daily practice.

You might be an experienced SEMH practitioner, or a teacher with a passion for inclusive education. Either way, you could be exactly who we need if you:

• Have QTS and experience in SEMH, SEND or inclusive practice.
• Bring warmth, patience and empathy to the role.
• See the potential in every child — even when they can’t see it in themselves yet.
• Communicate openly and kindly, building strong relationships with families and colleagues.
• Plan creatively and adapt learning so that every child can access and enjoy it.

In this role you will:

• Be able to contribute to the development of a new SRP.
• Design personalised, nurturing and trauma‑informed learning experiences that remove barriers and open up opportunities.
• Create a classroom environment that feels predictable, calm and safe — a place where children can be themselves.
• Teach a small cohort of initially six children with SEMH needs.
• Build strong, trusting relationships that help children regulate their emotions, develop resilience and celebrate their strengths.
• Work in partnership with families and a family support worker, helping rebuild confidence and ensuring families feel welcomed, respected and listened to.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, leaders, external agencies and Educational Psychologists to create wraparound support for each child.
• Support pupils to transition into or reconnect with mainstream settings when they’re ready, ensuring they feel held every step of the way.
• Model inclusive values and always uphold the highest safeguarding standards.
